En el año 1987, José se une a miles de paisanos persiguiendo el gran Sueño Americano. Un año después, Reynalda decide emprender el mismo camino hacia Estados Unidos, con la esperanza de superarse y al mismo tiempo poder apoyar a su familia en su querido pueblo, Santa María Malacatepec.
En 1988, José y Reynalda se conocieron y comienza nuestra historia. José, apasionado por las matemáticas, los negocios y la superación personal, encontró en Reynalda —una mujer humilde y trabajadora— el complemento perfecto para alcanzar juntos sus sueños y metas.
Con fe, dedicación y amor, establecieron su primer restaurante, “Sabor Criollo”, donde no solo compartieron sus raíces, sino que también añadieron un toque personal inspirado en amigos, ciudades donde vivieron y culturas que conocieron. Así nació una fusión de sabores: empanadas y chicharrones al estilo colombiano, pupusas salvadoreñas, platillos hondureños y, por supuesto, sus deliciosos platillos mexicanos.

Rooted in Tradition
In 1987, when José joined thousands of fellow dreamers in pursuit of the great American Dream. A year later, Reynalda made the brave decision to come to the United States as well, seeking growth while supporting her loved ones back in her hometown of Santa María Malacatepec.
In 1988, José and Reynalda met, and that’s where our story begins. José, passionate about mathematics, business, and self-improvement, found in Reynalda —a humble and hardworking woman— the perfect partner to achieve their goals and dreams together.
With faith, dedication, and love, they opened their very first restaurant, “Sabor Criollo”, a place that combined not only their roots but also a personal touch inspired by friends, the cities they lived in, and cultures they encountered. This created a fusion of flavors: Colombian-style empanadas and chicharrones, Salvadoran pupusas, Honduran dishes, and of course, their delicious Mexican specialties.
